Relax with a glass of wine and immerse yourself in the cool sounds of jazz. An active pianist, composer and music educator in the Washington, DC region, Quentin Walston blends memorable melodies and striking rhythms with adventurous improvisations. The trio’s foot-tapping, energetic sets of original music and favorite jazz standards have been heralded as “stunning” and “impeccable”!

Music Crawl

Saturday July 1, 2:00 – 4:45 PM Concerts take place in two locations: Emmanuel Episcopal Church Parish House (105 E. Washington St., Middleburg) Middleburg United Methodist Church (15 W. Washington St., Middleburg)

You’ve heard of a Pub Crawl. We’ve knocked off the concept and invite you to join us for a Music Crawl — short mini-concerts held from 2:00 – 4:45 PM in two locations along Washington Street in Middleburg. You’ll be strolling through a “musical” garden and experiencing a sampler of music performed in America from 1770 to 1970. Concerts will feature music from Thomas Jefferson’s musical library as well as fiddle tunes by American composers. U.S. Fleet Forces Band

Saturday, July 1 at 7:00 PM Middleburg Community Center 300 W. Washington St. Middleburg, VA

Established in 1945, and known as the “finest” of the fleet, the USFF which features 45 Navy musicians will present a program that entertains with a blend of modern hits from a variety of styles that include top hits, country and classic rock-and-roll perfect for all ages! This concert is FREE but tickets must be reserved in advance!

Broadway Brunch at the Lake Pavilion

Abby Middleton, Soprano Sunday, July 2 at 11:30 AM

Relax at this idyllic outdoor lake pavillion for an exclusive fundraising event. The ticket includes brunch, mimosas and a side of your favorite Broadway hits sung by Abby Middleton.  A graduate of Eastman School of Music, Abby’s work as featured soloist includes the classical to solo cabarets and leads in musicals such as The Little Mermaid, for which she was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Actress.

Jubilate

Dr. Nathaniel “Nat” Gumbs, Concert Organist Millicent Scarlett, Soprano Sunday, July 2 at 2:30 PM Trinity Episcopal Church 9108 John S. Mosby Highway Upperville, VA

Renowned organist Dr. Gumbs, director of chapel music at Yale University, joins with Millicent Scarlett, winner of many awards, most notably The Luciano Pavarotti International Competition, to present a program featuring works by Florence Price, the first African American composer to have her symphony performed by a major orchestra, We Shall Overcome by Carl Haywood and other music that will uplift and inspire. Members of the audience will be invited to sing concluding songs of the concert.
